This set of six 8-1/2-inch pasta bowls features an assortment of the 28 hand-painted floral motifs that make up the Botanic Garden collection. Lilac, hyacinths, azaleas, and many other typical English garden flowers stand out boldly against a glazed white background, surrounded by a border of small green leaves. These versatile bowls are also ideal for serving soup, cereal, stews, or desserts.

More than 30 years ago the founder of Portmeirion Potteries was inspired by 19th-century botanical illustrations to create the Botanic Garden collection of tableware and cookware. Each piece is crafted from fine glazed earthenware and features highly detailed floral designs complemented by a simple border of green leaves to give the collection a coordinated look. Botanic Garden tableware is safe in the freezer, microwave, oven, and dishwasher, but it should not be subjected to sudden changes in temperature.--Simon Leake Artist Susan Williams-Ellis found her inspiration for Botanic Garden from antique botanical Illustration plates.
